Disk one includes all the episodes of Rock Profile from the first series and also a nice introduction from Matt and David. They talk about how some things had to be cut out for example the music videos because they couldn’t get the permission to use them.

The extras on this disk are:
- Rock Facts - These normally feature in the music videos, however the Vox Pops have not been put on either disk for some reason.
- Rock the Blind special – This can also be watched with a commentary by Matt and David. Rock the Blind is a 45 minute special of Rock Profile where Gary Barlow makes a charity record for blind people with the help of Ronan Keating and many other pop stars. Very entertaining and it features some new characters that are not in either of the series such as Ricky Martin (played very camply by David!), Eminem (also played by David, and is actually a posh, very polite - and also camp – British man!) and a short appearance by Stevie Wonder (played by Matt).
Disk two includes all the episodes from the second series plus many extras! The extras are:
- The Ralf Little Show sketches and interview - In these sketches we visit the homes of Charlotte Church, Will Young & Gareth Gates, Eminem & Moby and Lou Reed (this is the sketch with Andy Warhol where Little Britain’s Lou & Andy came from).
- Charlotte (Matt) and her abused Mum (David)
-

- Gareth Gates (David) and Will Young (Matt)

- The interview is great and Matt and David both look very young and sweet! They even act out a scene from Romeo and Juliet in the voices of Jimmy Saville and Frankie Howerd!

- Rock Relief – These are sketches from Comic Relief 2001 with Lee (David) & H (Matt) from Steps giving away money for charity, Prince (Matt) busking to raise money and Craig David (David) talking about why he hasn’t managed to do anything for Comic Relief.
- The Priory – A short appearance on the show as Noel (David) & Danny (Matt) from Hear’Say.
- Top of the Pops Launch sketches – Craig David (David), Elton John (Matt) and George Michael (David), Robbie Williams (Paul Putner) & Geri Halliwell (Matt) all feature in short sketches.
- Rock Facts – More facts taken from the music videos.
- Behind the scenes of Rock the Blind – A documentary filmed whilst the show was being made. It doesn’t feature David very much I noticed!
- Interview – A recent interview with Matt and David filmed especially for the DVD where they talk about how Rock Profile came about and where the ideas for characters came from. Shows clips from “Funny Noise” where they first spoofed pop stars. A bit more surreal than the actually series with Anita Dobson & Brian May as a 2-headed monster and Gary Barlow with a very short Mark Owen!

- Born Sloppy – Charlotte Church (Matt) & her injured mother (David), Eminem (David) & Dr Dre (Matt) and a very realistic looking Kelly Osbourne (Matt) with Sharon Osbourne (David) were all guests on the show Born Sloppy. Kelly and Sharon Osbourne both join the real Jack Osbourne who looks completely bemused by this!
- License Fee Commercial – Matt and David did the advert on the BBC for TV Licensing as different characters from Rock Profile who all say how they pay for their TV License.
The DVD is fantastic value for money as it features all 26 episodes with a huge amount of extras. After having seen most of the episodes on TV before it was great to watch over them again and see the ones I had missed. Rock the Blind is a great special and I especially loved the clips from The Ralf Little Show. It’s great to see how Matt and David have grown and developed some ideas from this show into characters everyone now knows in Little Britain. The biggest example is probably the Lou Reed & Andy Warhol sketch from The Ralf Little Show who have now developed into Little Britain’s Lou & Andy. My only disappointment is that the Vox Pops have not been put on and I’ve heard from Tara that there was a kiss between David and Jamie Theakston on The Priory which has been edited out of the DVD and this is something I would very much liked to have seen!!
Overall though, the DVD is brilliant, certainly a must have for fans of Matt and David. Rock Profile is just a great comedy show though, so I’m sure can be enjoyed by many people, even those who aren’t necessarily huge Matt and David fans!
Teresa's Review
After watching the DVD's I can see why Matt and David became more famous for Little Britain than Rock Profile. It was good and had a bit of good humour and I can never look at some of the real pop stars ever again without remembering how they were spoofed by Matt and David. The first series was a bit boring and didn't contain much humour than the second series which I enjoyed more. I liked the fact that they had old characters from series one like Lee and H and Gareth Barlow with Howard Donald and that they added great new characters like ABBA and Shirley Bassey which I really enjoyed and could notice how they then became Little Britain characters. I am happy with the amount of extras they had and enjoyed the interviews and the Rock the Blind video which I thought was very funny and the Tv licence advert. Overall very entertaining and worth the money to see 2 comedy icons in their early days.

Wow! I love rock profile and this DVD is brilliant! An intriging version of the weird and wonderful world of celebville. I especially enjoyed the rock the blind special it was extremely funny and i was crying with laughter, especially Cher's electronic voice, the 'music video' at the end was excellent! I was fortunate enough to have the press pack of rock profile a couple of weeks ago and had already seen a couple of the episodes and the delightful interview with Matt and David (all of which is on the proper rock profile dvd). I particularly enjoyed the take that, blur and Michael Jackson epsidoes. Jamie 'Squeakston' Theakston also plays a very big part in making the concept a success!
The extras were really good too! The Ralph Little show sketches were really amusing and it was great to see the Lou Reed and Andy Warhol sketch. Likewise I liked the guys take of Eminem and Moby very strange but hilarious. My brother is not a fan of Little Britain (I try to convert him) but he really loves Rock profile!
Overall, it was a long time coming but the dvd was completely worth the wait and the money. It is a real must have for any fans of the wonderful Lucas and Walliams partnership! 5 star-Buy it!
