David is the fourth best-dressed man, according to GQ magazine. There was a full page photo of him in the May 2007 issue (Justin Timberlake cover). There was also a small photo of him at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in the Bespoke Suits article.

Little Britain Radio Series

Little Britain was first broadcast as a radio series on BBC Radio Four in 2001 and was nominated in the "Sony Radio Academy Awards 2002".

The second radio series was broadcast on Radio Four in 2002 and won a Silver Sony Radio Academy Award in the Group C Comedy category at the ceremony on 8th May 2003. "After being nominated last year this programme continues to impress the judges with great lines that overall provided for a genuinely funny programme - it just gets better each year."

From Chortle: The Little Britain radio show compilation CD has been nominated for best comedy release in the Spoken Word Awards 2004 .

The Little Britain Radio Series compliation CD won the coveted Gold Award for Best Comedy at the star studded Spoken Word Publisher Awards (September 2004) at the Dorchester Hotel.  This annual glitzy occasion was  hosted this year by the silky-voiced Mariella Frostrup. These awards are a celebration of the best in audio publishing, and include Comedy, Drama, Fiction and Non-fiction readings. BBC Audio Books had 15 nominations, popular BBC 7 programmes which originated on Radio 4 won the coveted Gold Awards in their categories.The Gold Award for Best Comedy, and was accepted by the "highly entertaining" (according to a BBC 7 report) Matt Lucas. You can look forward to hearing Little Britain again on BBC 7 in December, with an introduction from Matt.

Little Britain's Radio Show (series 1 and series 2 CDs) have won the Gold award for comedy in the annual Audiobook Publishing Association (APA)awards, held in London's West End on 27th September 2005, the awards were hosted by John Sergeant. Read more on the BBC website.

Little Britain TV Series

The first TV series picked up two Royal Television Society Craft & Design Awards awards (Monday 17 November 2003) in the Entertainment & Non-Drama Productions category - Costume Design (Annie Hardinge) and Make Up Design (Lisa Cavalli-Green). David also won the Best Newcomer award for Little Britain Series 1, in the British Comedy Awards 2003.

Little Britain was nominated for the comedy award at the South Bank Show awards ceremony 2004 on 23rd January (to be shown on ITV 1 on 25th January). This was won the previous year by the League Of Gentlemen. Against tough competition from Dave Gorman and Eddie Izzard, it's not surprising that they didn't win! (Eddie Izzard did, for his Sexie tour - some say Eddie looks more convincing in a dress!) Check this link for lots of screenshots.

It also won a Gold Angel Award after being voted best TV show over at the Angels website in their February 2004 awards.

Little Britain was nominated for best TV show in the NME awards, which was held on 12th February and broadcast on MTV 2 on 16th at midnight. They didn't win, but stole the show!

Little Britain has come 8th in Chortle's Over-rated TV shows poll, behind the Office, but ahead of the League of Gentlemen (25th Feb 2004)

Little Britain won two Royal Television Society Awards on 16th March, one for Best Comedy Performance and one for Best Entertainment.

Little Britain was nominated in the Comedy section of the Rose D'or (here is a full list of nominations in PDF format). Although Creature Comforts won in that section, Little Britian was awarded the "Press Prize" at the ceremony. (17th April 2004)

Little Britain was nominated for three BAFTAs in 2004 - Best Comedy Performance (Matt and David have been nominated separately), won by Ricky Gervais and Comedy Programme/Series which they won..

Little Britain was nominated for two BAFTA craft awards (in costume and makeup/hair design) and Lisa Cavalli-Green for won the award for Make up & hair design in the ceremony on 16th May 2004.

David and Matt won Best Comedy for Little Britain at the National TV Awards 2004.

Little Britain collected three more awards - for its costume, make-up and music - at the Royal Television Society's craft and design awards on 30th November 2004. Costume designer Annie Hardinge, make-up artist Lisa Cavalli-Green and composer David Arnold all picked up their awards at London's Savoy Hotel.

Little Britain won two awards in Loaded Magazine's comedy awards, the LAFTAS at the ceremony on 1st December 2004. Matt and David scooped Best TV and Best Double act. They were not there to attend the awards (as they were doing a talk to pupils of David's old school, Reigate Grammar School) but sent a video of themselves in character.

The Variety Club's 52nd Annual Showbusiness Awards at the London Hilton hotel on 6th December gave Matt Lucas and David Walliams the Comedy Award for Little Britain.

The sketch of Lou and Andy at the swimming pool has been placed 3rd in the Radio Times top ten alternative comedy sketches. Read about the poll here. (1st December)

Matt and David won in all three categories in which they were nominated at the British Comedy Awards! (December 2004)

Little Britain's "bitty" sketch won the "best comedy moment" of 2004's top tv moments on BBC One (Dec 04). Matt and David could not be there to accept the award as they are in Africa filming for this year's Comic Relief. Tony Head and Geraldine James collected the award on their behalf.

Little Britain won best Comedy at the Broadcast magazine Awards, which is judged by a panel of leading TV industry experts. The awards took place on 26 January at Grosvenor House.

Matt and David have won the South Bank Show award for Best TV Comedy

Little Britain won the award for Best TV Show at the NME Awards 2005, at the ceremony presented by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost on 17th February 2005. David celebrated in traditional style by kissing Simon Pegg. The Mirror ran an article about the aftershow party (below). The NME (23rd Feb) ran a small article and had a poster in the following week's issue.

Little Britain has won another award - best comedy at the TRIC Awards. (March 2005)

Matt and David lost out in the category of Best Comedy Performance at the Royal Television Society Awards 2004 at the awards ceremony on March 15 at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. They were beaten by Tamsin Greig of Green Wing.

Little Britain won two awards in this year's Bafta TV Awards. Well done Matt and David!

According to the Media Gardian, Little Britain has been awarded Best in Show at the Bulldog awards.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams' award-winning BBC3 comedy Little Britain has come out on top in a peer poll of 4,000 TV industry insiders. Little Britain was named Best in Show in the Bulldog awards survey, conducted by trade magazine Televisual, after 63% of those polled voted for it as best sketch comedy programme - the biggest percentage for any a winning show in any category. Other Bulldog award winners included genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are?, which took 53% of the vote in the factual entertainment category, and Himalaya with Michael Palin, voted best science and natural history programme with just over 50%. Channel 4 took both drama awards, with Shameless voted best series and Sex Traffic the best serial

Well done Matt and David for getting three sketches in the top 20 of last night's 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches on Channel 4, as well as getting the #1 place!

Matt and David have won two awards at the prestigious Golden Rose television awards. The ceremony took place between 3 and 8 May in Lucerne, Switzerland, with the awards given out on 7th. Little Britain won in the Best Comedy category. Matt and David also won the Best Male Comedy Performance award. Read more from the bbc website. Last year, Little Britain won the "press prize" at the ceremony.

Matt and David have been placed 21st  in the Guardian's annual list of the most powerful people in the media industry. They are the highest new entry, recognising the success of Little Britain.

Little Britain picked up two awards in the FHM 2005 Comedy Awards - Best comedy show for Series 2 and Funniest Character to Andy and Lou. The awards are featured in the November issue of FHM (Paris Hilton cover).

At the Loaded LAFTA 2005 award ceremony on the 4th October, David and Matt took the title for Funniest Double Act for the second year running, beating Peter Kay who was short-listed for his singing double act with Tony Christie. Read more in the Sun.

Little Britain won Most Popular Comedy at the National TV awards last night. Read more on Google. They both sent their mums to collect their awards (due to the Live Tour in Portsmouth). The winners were announced at a star-studded ceremony hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald at the Royal Albert Hall on 25th October – broadcast the following evening on ITV1. Little Britain was against Max and Paddy, The Simpsons and Will and Grace.

Little Britain failed to win any awards in the International Emmys. It was beaten to Best Comedy by Canadian Show The Newsroom. Read more at ThisisLondon. The awards were announced on 21st November in New York.

Little Britain scored a double victory at the British Comedy Awards 2005, beating Ricky Gervais' Extras to the best TV comedy prize and picking up the first ever Ronnie Barker writer's award.

Radio and voice-overs

Matt and David's Nationwide advert series have won the "Best Radio" award in the Mobius Advertising Awards (Feb 2005). You can listen to the adverts here.

Lifestyle awards

Matt and David were awarded a "most creative men in Britain" award at the Arena O2 X Club awards in July 2004.

David and Matt won Best Comedians at the annual GQ magazine "Men of the year" award ceremony against some stiff competition. The Daily Mirror did an article on 9th September about the ceremony.

David and Matt were dubbed the Most Stylish TV Stars at the Elle Style Awards (the "Style Oscars") on 14th February 2005. There were articles in both The Scotsman and Sky. But David seem a bit confused according to The Scotsman and the BBC. The Sun ran a more salacious story, as did the Mirror. Heat printed a picture of them both after the show.

"I’ve absolutely no idea what we’ve won, but it meant meeting Kylie Minogue so that’s okay." David joked: "I think we’re going to throw it [the award] away on the way home."

David has been voted 5th best dressed man by GQ magazine and was described as 'a 21st century Peter Sellers'. Read more here.

David and Matt won "Best Comedians" in the GQ magazine Men of the Year awards 2005. The award was presented by their pal Robbie Williams. There were photos on Handbag.com and isifa.com. They also won this award last year (see lifestyle awards). There was also a two-page article in the October 2005 edition of GQ magazine.

David and Matt have also been presenting an award at the Mirror's Pride of Britain awards.

Matt and David have won a "Men of Year" award in the FHM January 2006 edition.
